Agora. The Crowd-sourced Business

agoraLots of organisations have ‘flirted’ with crowd-sourcing – seeking ideas and insights from the ‘crowd’ of staff or customers.

London based drinks start-up Agora have taken it one step further and look to the crowd to influence all their business decisions! You can offer ideas, insights and values against all areas of their business.

At first glance, it’s an insane idea – involving a crowd of strangers in everything the business does – including whether to share the annual profits, and if the decision is yes, how to share them. Starting a business is hard enough, surely this makes it even harder?

I guess the other way of looking at it is that they are tapping into a potentially endless resource of talent, ideas and experience – all of which other start-ups don’t have!
