A lesson in disruption. The landline

Who could have imagined, just 10 years ago, NOT owning a phone at home.

You probably DO own a phone at home, but do you need it? How often do people call you on it? And of them, how many of them are welcome (ie. people not trying to sell you something)?

The only thing stopping me from disconnecting it is that my utility provider forces me to have a landline. In reality, I could do without it. Everyone that needs to call me calls me on my mobile.

In less than a decade, the something that every home in the country needed and had has all but disappeared. incredible.
